Void of Vision’s Chronicles is a metalcore album that was also released as three separate EPs each themed to support a different part of the album’s narrative: Chronicles I- Lust, Chronicles II- Heaven, Chronicles III- Hell. I ended up really loving this album after first hearing it, so as a fun project I decided to redesign the album cover for the project as a trifold, each section relating to the theme of each EP. My design was partially influenced by the work of Polish painter Zdzislaw Beksinski, particularly one untitled painting of his I’ve seen referred to as “The Lovers,” and also by some biblical imagery relating to sin and temptation, namely serpents and the “forbidden fruit.”
