This portrait was another school project depicting a classmate and friend of mine. The assignment was to capture the personality and interests of the subject in the piece and to improve our oil painting skills. I also wanted to explore some surrealistic imagery in my concept, hence the mechanized, mask-like face and the flowers blooming from inside the head.
