ChalkFIT 2023 was the 10 year anniversary of the event where students from the Illustration major paint murals on the outside walls of one of the school buildings using chalk pastels. In honor of the tenth anniversary, the theme for the project was “Celebration.” In my interpretation of that theme, I created an illustration to capture the whimsy of the Circus in which a stilt walker welcomes a young girl into the circus tent where an elephant is performing.
